Every time Raimon comes back from a time period, it feels like a reset, because they're going to do the same things they did last time, only in a slightly different way. The main problem I have with the season is the combination of how repetitive the story is, along with an immensely odd tonal clash.
#INAZUMA ELEVEN GO CHRONO STONE GATEWAY PLUS#
We have a time travel plot where someone's existence could be erased or altered, historical figures in which most of them will eventually get a tragic end, (Nobunaga: dies at Honnoji, Jeanne d'arc: Burned at the stake, Liu Bei and Zhuge Liang: Both will die with their dreams unfulfilled as their kingdom is eventually conquered by Cao Cao's kingdom, Sakamoto Ryoma: assassinated, Okita Souji: was dying anyway, Tochan and Big: Meteor that will kill the dinosaurs will do them in somehow, King Arthur: killed by Mordred as the Knights of the Round Table falls apart.) childrens who were born with superpowers but will die before they reach 20 plus their powers cause them to be ostracized from society, prompting a wish to dominate the world before dying, an organization who will do whatever it takes to stop them even if they have to resort to altering the timeline so that they will be erased from existence and lastly a mother who dies giving birth to her son.īut other than that, all conflicts and problems will be solved if we just play some football/soccer :D While IEGO2 is much more light hearted, it still follows the tradition of having a pretty dark storyline (if you think about it deeply of course.) IE2 had aliens, depression over losing to said aliens, personality disorders, a meteor that can boost a person's abilities to the point that it could be severely lethal and the motive of the Big Bad is using childrens from an orphanage to wreck Japan until the government decides to use the meteor as a weapon of mass destruction because his soccer-loving son got killed over an accident with a politician's son. What is with Inazuma Eleven that every second installment of a trilogy ends up having dark themes
